Dang Bipa 당비파

 DANG BIPA; KOREAN INSTRUMENT

South Korea, one of the country that everyone would love to visit. Their cultures are influenced  by their fellow countries in East Asia (specifically China and Japan). Korea was divided into sovereign states with a different political institutions and ideologies, however they still share the same cultures and traditions in their country even if there is boundaries between them. There are a lot of modern culture in Korea that everyone would probably love from their foods, tourist spots, the people, and so much more.

In the video below you can see an instrument that is being played by a Korean musician, the Dang Bipa. It is one of the traditional instruments in Korea, influenced or related to Chinese pipa. A four stringed instrument with circular-shaped resonator and a bent neck.

As I listen and watch to the video, the music produced by the instrument being played is very relaxing and calming. The way they play the instrument is very smooth and nice. It looks very hard to play but I guess when you are willing to learn how to play Dang Bipa it will never be hard as you think.
