ONLINE CLASS: Good For Students or Not?

   Is online class beneficial for us students? Or is it one of the reasons why students these days are lacking in terms of knowledge? Is it advisable for students to do online class? 


   Last 2019, there was a sudden outbreak of virus called 2019, which obviously caused a ruckus globally. As a result, class were switched from face to face to online class. Mixed opinions regarding the matter were raised in social media, some would say that online class is efficient for it may have cost less and the others would say face to face is much preferable. In this manner, students could learn properly, however, people had no choice. Students' capability in school is frequently questiones in social media for it has been said that students are lacking of proper guidance mainly from their teachers. For example, students would freely switch their tabs from zoom. As a result, students would not learn anything.


   Students would always get tempted to do things they prefer thab online class due to the fact that students these days are more into fun, and obviously "fun" is not online class. Based from my experience as a student, I would always try to ditch classes when I'm bored by sleeping with my camera off. By that, I would most likely miss the lesson and other important matters discussed. "Why would they join class when they can have fun?" It is giving that vibes from students these days. However, it is actually a disturbing behavior for me. 


   Another reason why students would not learn from online class because they would rely more on Google for their homeworks. If this goes on, students would lack in terms of their sknowledge. They would believe that they do not need to remember lessons that are discussed because search engines are accessible. That is why I would always prefer doing things without the help from Google — except when I'm having a hard time. 

   In conclusion, online class is not a preferable learning system for students. It may be more accessible but it has lots of disadvantages. Students could learn more with face to face set-up than online because not all topics are suitable for online class. These are the topics that requires a proper method (person to person) inorder for our learners to gain knowledge. We should let our students study together with their teacher and classmates for it has more learning opportunities.

ADVOCACY FRAMEWORK   BACKGROUND  There are a lot of sightseeing places here in the Philippines where all of us can visit anytime, however there are also places which hold a remarkable history background that are being left out and are not given the exact attention needed. In this advocacy, we will focus more on Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church located in Naga, Cebu City.
